The Readers Said:
Despite the average voter turnout, the number one game wasn't even the slightest bit suprising. However, the rest of the chart was a somewhat fierce battle, with an unlikely title winning second place. Thanks to the people who voted for their responses.

The PALGN staff has varying tastes when it comes to the Xbox, but there was one clear winner, as you'd expect from a console once referred to by this editor as "The Microsoft Halo Player" due to its rather lacking catalog (at the time).
5. Splinter Cell
This dark and deadly sneak 'em up proved late last year that the Xbox wasn't just a one trick pony. Splinter Cell boasts some of the most amazing graphics and lighting that we've seen in a game to date, along with an intriguing story and extremely immersive gameplay. It's no wonder that it's one of the few games to attract Xbox gamers last Christmas.
4. Amped
Amped has been the recipient of both praise and criticism since its release alongside the Xbox last year. Its easily the prettiest snowboarding game in existance with its great graphical effects, though some criticism was aimed at the trick scheme, especially when the player reaches the higher rankings in the single player mode. Amped 2 promises to correct all of these flaws upon its release in November.
3. Burnout 2: Point of Impact
PALGN really liked the Playstation 2 version of Burnout 2 (8.5/10 to rejig your memory), but the Xbox version is a much more complete package, with enhanced graphics, twice as many crash junctions, more events and more cars. Still, even with all the enhancements, the game is still a little short lived, but if arcade racing is your thing, then Burnout 2 is the game for you. Causing massive traffic accidents has never been more fun.
2. Rocky
This might come as a shock to some of you, but Rocky is easily the most polished boxing title ever released. The movie mode is enjoyable, while it lasts (though a true Rocky fan may cringe at some of the omissions), but this one shines most when played with a few friends. The fighting system is relatively easy to pick up but features an intuitive combo system that ensures that those who attempt to master the game will be rewarded. It's just a shame that Rage folded shortly after Rocky was finished.
1. Halo
Was it ever going to be anything else? Even though it's not our highest rated Xbox game (I believe that crown goes to Splinter Cell), Halo provides one of the most engrossing first person shooter experiences ever. The visuals are brilliant, with every inch of the environment filled with great detail and all the characters amazingly modelled. Halo is no slouch in the gameplay department either, with some of the most amazing AI this gaggle of reviewers has ever seen. Despite some minor gripes with the level design (or lack thereof, Mr Cut and Paste), Halo still remains our favourite game on the Xbox. Bring on Halo 2.
