First fightin' images of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon

Xbox News | Create-a-kombat.
Another year, another Mortal Kombat game. This year, it's Armageddon, which Midway have promised will be the last of the current generation Mortal Kombat games. Back in January, we reported that every combatant in Mortal Kombat history will be available for selection in Armageddon, which has turned out to be exactly the case. It should make for one crowded character select screen.

But, what will interest most people is the brand new create-a-fighter mode, which will, uh, allow you to create a fighter. Aside from being able to customise physical attributes, one can also assign their character a personalised moveset, as well as a 'personality'. Hmm. If that wasn't enough creation for you, there's also a create-a-fatality mode. Sounds bloody.

Of course, there's also your standard yearly improvements like an improved konquest mode and upgraded online features. Mortal Kombat Armageddon is set for a Q3 2006 release - until then, check our the first screenshots in the media panel.
