Forza Motorsport goes gold

Xbox News | Finally..
Microsoft Game Studios has today sent us official word that Forza Motorsport has gone gold. After a huge amount of hype, and a lot of delays the game will be released on May 5th, for a RRP of $99.95.

Forza Motorsport will allow gamers to own, collect and transform their own personalized fleet of speed machines from an unprecedented lineup of more than 230 cars made by over 60 top manufacturers. We've been looking forward to Forza Motorsport for a long time so we're glad it has finally gone gold.

Forza Motorsport also features Xbox Live features that really showcase the capabilities of Xbox Live.

PALGN will have more information on Forza Motorsport as soon as it becomes available. Look out for it on store shelves in a mere two weeks.

Unfortunately I haven't heard any good news regarding the game from people who have played the various demos so I really hope that the final version has fixed the problems and is actually a decent simulation game. I will be getting it upon release, not that that surprises anyone. icon_razz.gif

^ Ive got the demo and it really isnt that great. Better to stick with GT4 if you have it - same maps

The demo is based on 9+month old code, you only have to look a recent screens and videos to see how much it has improved since the demo. I'm not saying it will be better than GT4, but I don't think it's really fair to judge the game so quickly on an old demo. Here's some comparison pics from different stages of code...

^ Nice. But unfortunately even better graphics wont improve the actual gameplay.

i think some of those cars are a step down in graphics... the newer WRX looks shocking IMO...

(plus others, but thats the one that stands out to me...)

and agreed Eve... the gameplay does need improving... as stagnant as GT4 is, i prefer it immensely over the Forza demo...

All I see is excessively shinier cars. Are they made of glass? On the other hand, the lighting is much better and the cars look less washed out, so that's good.
In the end though, it's no GT4 when it comes to graphics. Gameplay wise, we'll have to wait and see.
