Microsoft held a massive Halo 2 tournament on the weekend, crowning the best Halo 2 player and best clan in Australia.
The tournament was a combination of nine hours of game play and hundreds of spectators. The winner of the tournament is Dean Loaney, from Sydney. Australia's champion Halo 2 clan is Perfect Play.
Between the clan and Dean Loaney the winners took home more than $10,000 in prizes, some of them are money can't buy prizes though. Dean Loaney will also have the honour of representing Australia in the global Halo 2 tournament later this month.
The event was held at the University of NSW Roundhouse on Saturday. This was the first official tournament for Halo 2.
PALGN is happy to see events like this take place and wishes Dean all the best in the world championships. PALGN will have more information on any future championships as they become available.
There are some images of the event in the media panel, so feel free to check them out.
