OutRun 2 Website Goes Live

Xbox News | SEGA launches the official website for their anticipated title, OutRun 2.
In development by AM2/SEGA, OutRun2 puts gamers into the driver's seat of twelve different Ferraris, from the traditional Daytona to the highly coveted Enzo Ferrari. Gamers will be able to speed through several tracks set against spectacular environments inspired by some of the most beautiful locations around the world.

OutRun2 is the much-anticipated sequel to the famous game that made its first appearance in arcades across the world 17 years ago. With blistering graphics, remixes of the original sound tracks and gameplay that demands one more play, the beautiful journey has lost none of its appeal. OutRun2 will also allow up to eight players race against one another via Xbox Live.

The site features exclusive movies, screensaves, screenshots, wallpapers, car and character profiles, general information about the game and a heritage section dedicated to the 1987 arcade classic. The newly launched website is surely to please fans and newcomers alike.

OutRun2 is expected to hit retailers on October 15th 2004 in Australia and November 26th 2004 across Europe, but until then you can check out all the latest at the game’s official site.

Ah, had a good twenty minute session on OutRun 2 at Game Stars Live and God Almighty is it sexy. The ease of steering and the sheer joy gained from power-sliding reminded me a bit of the Crazy Taxi games actually - it's just...fun.
