E3 2004: Halo 2

Xbox News | Microsoft reveals new screens, launch details and bundle details for the highly anticipated sequel.
Microsoft Game Studios and Bungie Studios today announced that Halo 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the successful Halo:Combat Evolved, will land on store shelves on November 9, 2004. Microsoft promise it to be one of the biggest launches in videogame history, Halo 2 will be overrun with an extensive marketing campaign to promote the title for it?s release. The campaign will include cinema, print, outdoor, online and television advertising to make the release of Halo 2 as successful as possibly known to mankind.

Microsoft doesn?t want he Halo madness to stop there. To mark the occasion, Microsoft will soon be announcing a pre-order availability of a Limited Edition Halo 2, package in a nice metal box. In addition to the game, the bundle will include a second DVD, loaded with special content. The exclusive two-disk set will include:

  • The Making of Halo 2 behind-the-scenes footage of Bungie Studios in action
  • "Featurettes" on game design, animation, music, and more.
  • Cinematic and characters that were cut from the game.
  • An Art Gallery that follows the artistic evolution from concept to game.
  • Commentaries from the development team.
  • And Much, Much more!

For the time being Microsoft have confirmed that Halo 2 will hit shelves on November 9th, 2004 worldwide. However, will can be safely ensure our readers that the bundle will make a worldwide release, so look forward to that.
