Danny Elfman to write Fable soundtrack

Xbox News | Famed Hollywood conductor jumps on the Fable train.
Microsoft Game Studios announced this morning that they have recruited veteran Hollywood composer Danny Elfman to compose the score for their upcoming RPG Fable.

Elfman, three-time Academy Award nominee and front man for the eighties new-wave band Oingo Boingo, is best known for his unique musical style. Movie-goers have heard his work in the soundtracks of dozens of popular films and TV shows, including Chicago, Batman, Spider-Man, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice and The Simpsons. For Fable, Elfman's first foray into the world of videogame soundtracks, he worked with a hand-picked orchestra and recording team to produce a magical theme in full 5.1 Surround Sound.

Fable is currently set for a release in the middle of the year.
