New LEGO Batman screens

360 News | Holy screenshots Batman!
Forget Spiderman and Superman, this year's superhero craze looks like it will be firmly set on The Caped Crusader. As well as a hot new movie on the cards, 2008 will see Batman reborn in LEGO form on your favourite gaming platform - and considering that it's being brought to you by the minds behind the addictively fun LEGO Star Wars series of games, it looks like it could be one of the breakout games of the year.

LEGO Batman promises to let players slip into the tights of Batman and sidekick-extraordinaire Robin as they put the finger on crime in a LEGO Gotham City. Warner Brothers has also revealed that some of Gotham's most famous villains will be playable characters.

While previous screenies have shown off the look of Batman, the latest batch of screenshots gives gamers a peek of Robin, Catwoman, Scarecrow and everyone's favourite evil clown - The Joker.

With all of this activity building around the franchise, 2008 is shaping up to be the year of the bat.

Here are some more pics, If LEGO Star Wars 1 & 2 is any indication this game is gonna be just as good

I'm liking the look of everything, including the action sequences, but you nailed it Taco about stuff in LEGO form. Killer Croc particularly looks cool (bit disappointed with Penguin though, if thats him there.. doesn't look 'Penguin-y' enough)

Penguin's defining characteristic is his nose, but Lego figures can't have noses. I think they did the best job they could considering, though he could have a more menacing expression.

I want some gameplay pictures. The Lego sets have been out for a couple of years, we already know what all the characters look like in Lego form.

This will be sweet. Will it be following the new films story or the old ones?
