More Xbox news from CES 2008

360 News | Desperate Housewives on your 360?
In further news from Microsoft's CES 2008 Conference Keynote, Robbie Bach, President of the Entertainment and Devices Division, has provided details on the Xbox 360's financial earnings.

In the US alone, though November, the Xbox 360 console went though $3.5 billion worth of business, according to TeamXbox. That means that Microsoft's transactions amounted to more then the Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 3 combined.

Bach, who had just revealed that there were more then ten million Xbox LIVE subscriptions, was evidently very pleased with the Xbox 360's performance. "With its continued momentum in games, accessories and digital entertainment via our leading online service Xbox LIVE, and record-setting games and accessory attach rates, evidence is everywhere that Xbox 360 is thriving," he said.

It was also revealed that ABC and Disney will be offering television shows on Xbox LIVE, including Grey’s Anatomy, Lost and Desperate Housewives. Sony's MGM will also be making available a number of films on Xbox LIVE, including Rocky, Terminator and The Silence of the Lambs.

Different division to Sony Home Entertainment. Different folk sign their cheques so really they're not in any real competition, nor do they care if proprietary licensing goes to Microsoft.

Also I think PALGN should attend CES next year, considering how closely intertwined consumer electronics market and the gamers industry are.

Not really, E3, Leipzig, TGS, all big game shows. We have only really got some minor minor announcements out of CES.
