Next Tomb Raider game revealed

360 News | Lara heads to the Underworld.
Ever since Eidos resurrected the Tomb Raider series with Tomb Raider: Legend, Tomb Raider fans have been waiting for a new game starring Lara. This year we got a remake in the form of Tomb Raider Anniversary but it seems that the prayers of fans have been answered, with US magazine PLAY revealing the first details on Tomb Raider: Underworld.

Underworld will be coming to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC and is set for release in 2008. Underworld is set after the events of Tomb Raider: Legend and is described by the magazine as "pure woman versus wild". The tech has been improved with Lara leaving footprints in the mud that washes away while bodies will stay dead on the ground if you defeat an enemy. The game will also be motion captured and a new lighting model should mean Lara looks better than ever.

I don't think this will be half-bad, it sounds like it's gonna be good, but shouldn't get my hopes up...
