Grand Theft Auto IV box art revealed

360 News | Site update provides new trinkets, date for next trailer.
Unwanted delays aside, it's been awhile since anything constructive has been heard from Rockstar North's development studios on Grand Theft Auto IV. While this morning's updates over at Rockstar's official Grand Theft Auto IV website provide nothing as earth shattering as a solid release date, they may nevertheless rekindle interest in the title, what with tidbits of new material for followers of the next-gen GTA to speculate over.

First and foremost, those perusing the GTA IV website will notice that the box art for the game has been finalised, welcoming visitors to the front end of the site - no doubt in hopes that the image will grace as many Photoshopped forum signatures as possible. Of course, if static visuals aren't your thing, Rockstar has graciously also edited together an "Official Box Art Unveiling" video in the "Trailers & Videos" section of the GTA IV website, providing viewers with a time-lapse illustration of the box art in question, albeit on a larger scale.

Perhaps most curious of all however, is the message which tail ends both the box art and video, promising the release of a new GTA IV trailer, titled "Move up, ladies", on December 6 at 3.00 PM EST (approximately December 7, 7.30 AM AEST). Those looking to tide themselves over until then can find an assortment of new trinkets to decorate their desktops with in the "Downloads" section of the site.

Hellooooo new wallpaper.

I love it. I've always liked the style of the GTA artwork, especially when it's put together like this.

yeah its very good as always. i reckon the big question of next year is MGS4 going to be better then GTAIV or is it the other way around. There is no doubt that they are the biggest titles of next year.

There's something seriously wrong with the motorbike in the top right corner.

...since when do you turn the front wheel all the way to the left to go around a left hand corner? icon_wink.gif

Just showing a number like the '3' for Halo or Spiderman always felt a bit conceited to me. Sure it looks cool but there's always an underlying arrogance about it that I just can't get over. Not even my beloved GTA can pull it off without raising my ire.

Yeah... since that is the American date and date format, it is really the 7th of December for us.
