Blacksite: Area 51 demo released

360 News | Try it out again.
Midway has released an updated demo for Blacksite: Area 51 on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The company released a demo for the game back in May but the updated demo should give gamers a fresh and new look at the game.

The description for the demo is as follows: "Battle against a strange insurgency through the streets and backyards of a small American town crawling with alien life." The demo comes in at just under 1GB.

Is it significantly new content or a revised build?

I think I'll be downloading the demo eitherway - I loved the 'beta' demo (or whatever it was called), and I'm keen to see what has changed and whether it holds up as such a visceral experience.

I've been hearing that the game is a bit disappointing though icon_sleepy.gif

I played this the other day when I had my cousin Xbox360 here, have to say the game wasn't really that intense.

First demo wasn't too bad. I'll download this one tonight. Hopefully the games improve a little since then.

I played the original demo. It was just average. I will give this demo and game a miss

I downloaded it. What a load of crap. It's split into two parts; both finish within 3-4 minutes. Seriously. There's less than 10 minutes gameplay! The first part, on foot, is a small street, then a room, then... that's it. The second part, in a helicopter, is one shooting bit, then it's over...

A complete joke, honestly. I learnt more about the game from a minute long movie that played at the end than I did from the "demo".
