Halo 3 original soundtrack website launches

Talkxbox reports that Microsoft has just launched the Halo 3 soundtrack website. The site allows fans to preview many of the game's tracks, and to pre-order the game's soundtrack, due for release on November 20, via Amazon.com. Halo 2's soundtrack has sold the most copies of any game's soundtrack, so it might be worth your while pre-ordering.

One of the most interesting aspects of the site is Marty's Playground, launching December 1, which allows you to use the 'adaptive music system' that was developed for Halo 3 in order to '"score" in game footage in real-time.'

You can find out how the adaptive music system works by heading to the Extras section of the website, which features a 'behind the audio' movie. Other extras include an interview with composer Martin O'Donnell and the sheet music for the song 'Finish The Fight', along with numerous other movies and articles related to Halo 3 and its soundtrack.
