Overlord DLC this month

360 News | So make sure those minions are well fed.
Codemasters has announced that they will be releasing three downloadable game packs to expand Overlord, one of the packs being free and two of them costing some cold hard Microsoft Points.

The free content, and perhaps the most exciting for those that have a sibling or friend that wishes to play on the same TV, is the Split-Screen Multiplayer Pack. It enables players to go head-to-head in a split-screen multiplayer mode, and also introduces a new multiplayer map called Rocky Race.

The first premium pack is called the Raising Hell Pack, which expands the single player mode and allows you to travel to a new hellish dimension for each of the 5 kingdoms. "Access to each abyss is via a portal, which opens once a kingdom has been successfully conquered and the previous ruler banished to a personal hell within. However it's not just the fallen heroes that have been dragged into the abyss: the Overlord's newly loyal peasants have also been taken down into hell too." So, get your minions and go down to retrieve them!

The second premium pack is called the Challenge Pack, which comes with 7 new multiplayer maps including the 'Capture the Maiden' map and 'Protect Your Power' map, where you must defend your tower against waves of enemy attacks. This pack also comes with the Legendary difficulty mode, which is of course now the hardest difficulty setting available in the game, and apparently is rather tough.

So, get your minions ready and polish your helmet before you keep an eye out for this Downloadable Content sometime in November.
