Unreal Tournament III still coming to 360

360 News | Xbox version out in 2008, says Epic.

Epic President Mike Capps recently told Gametrailers that Unreal Tournament III was only coming to the PlayStation 3. 'We're just on PlayStation 3, so we get to focus on that platform,' the Epic Boss said in a video interview.

Fortunately, it appears as though the quote was taken out of context, as Epic Vice President Mark Rein has jumped in to clarify the situation. 'We are [still] going to release Unreal Tournament III on Xbox 360 in 2008,' Rein said in an interview with CVG.

PALGN recently reported that there was also some confusion surrounding the game's release date on the PlayStation 3. Publisher Midway stated that the shooter was delayed until 2008, but Rein affirmed that Epic was still aiming for a 2007 release.

A demo for the PC version of Unreal Tournament III was released last week.

Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict on the Xbox and Gears of War were two quality titles. It would be shame if Epic Games did suddenly stop making games for a particular platform. It just wouldn't feel right.

Epic would never stop making games for the 360. Hell they've made a lot more money off the 360 in the last year than any other platform! Not to mention Microsoft own the rights to Gears of War. Epic is stuck with the 360 now!

Can I ask what the point of posting this as news is, when PALGN didn't report the guy saying it wasn't coming to 360?
