Conan demo available for download

360 News | Want to give violence a try before you buy?

For those of you unsure about whether or not to purchase the action-adventure game Conan, THQ has announced that a demo is now available for download on the Xbox Live Marketplace. PS3 owners shouldn't feel left out, as they will receive the demo on the PlayStation Network on the 11th of October.

The demo itself weighs in at 484MB and allows players to take on the role of Conan and test their skills with a number of fighting moves, combinations and weapons. The game itself is already available on the Xbox 360 and will be released on the PlayStation 3 this Thursday.

Can't wait to try this out! I've been wondering whether this game would be worth it but I hear it is really fun...

Ohh yeah it is trust me i love it. hahah i really don't think i have played a more violent game than this.

I like it and am glad I bought it, but geez - If you've played either God of War games you know what to expect.

In fact, I'd go so far as to say they're basically the same game, Conan being God of War in HD with less tearing.

It's such a good rip-off that it's hard not to like though.

Yea it's an awesome God of War ripioff and there are more moves and they're actually a bit more handy in combat aswell....not to mention extra gory. Also it's quite hard and lengthy....one of the my biggest and most pleasant gaming surprises.

The controls didnt work for me, it does feel like GOW but it feels less responsive. The heavy attack I felt was useless, the simple attack work but it useless on some enimies. Just my opinion.
