Crash of the Titans demo released

Well here's something we missed while spending time with Halo 3 yesterday - a demo for Vivendi's Crash of the Titans has been released on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

The demo comes in at 530MB and allows you to take control of the crazy bandicoot again. In Crash of the Titans the evil Neo Cortex has turned the creatures of Crash's island into horrific mutations, with Crash able to hijack the monsters and take control of them.

According to Penny Arcade it's actually a good demo, will get it before the holidays.

It looks like a PS2 game. Lets hope it adds to the play value of the previous titles though, I've found the series rather dry to date.

Like wtf? Blob shadows top that screenshot off imo.

It's such a shame cause the Crash games used to be pretty awesome back in the PSone/Naughty Dog days. While the graphics were never central focus, they did the job nicely and ran very smoothly.
They're still the only games my wife ever actually played (that and Beyond Good n Evil... go figure!).
I was kinda hoping for a return to form.. oh well...

Tis a shame that they appear to have not amped the graphics up to new-gen standards. Personally, when i had the PS1, Crash 1-3 were certainly some of the best looking games on the consoles. Those games were amazing platformers, on PS2 though, crash became a little "same-old, same-old". When compared to the Ratchet and Jak series, he became about as appealing as........ a mental blank.

And Crash was Sony's unofficial mascot of sorts.

Yeah, looks horrible doesn't it? Plenty of PS2 games look better.

But if its fun? Budget title.

Honestly in this day of graphic power, there is no excuse for the blight in games that is the shadow blob.

Glad i didn't download this game now, i was almost tempted when i saw it on live...phew. Calamity averted.
