First Ninja Gaiden 2 screenshots released

360 News | Brutal doesn't even begin to describe the look of the game.
Well this certainly came out of nowhere, The Japanese official Xbox 360 site has posted up the first images for Ninja Gaiden 2.

According to the site the game will be out in 2008 and of course it is being developed by Team Ninja. Unfortunately details on the game weren't released, but with the Tokyo Games Show only a few weeks away we're sure more will be revealed on the game then. For now head over to our media panel to see the game in action.

I have to get the first one, this looks like a lot of fun.

Yes! It's on the BC list.

Violence porn! I wonder if it'll be too violent to get an MA here.

HA HA, that's some gory screens!

Hope its region free as OFLC will probably keep an eye on this one...

I like blood. The original NG was really tame, but this sets it right.

I refuse to play an action game on a 360 controller though. For me it just does not work.

What controller would you prefer?

Is it too much to ask that they have a "loser" difficulty setting for people like who barely played the first due to its hair pulling difficulty?

If they do like in Sigma you have the choice of "Abandoning the way of the Ninja" and making the difficulty much easier, just die in the same spot 3 times in a row then choose the option. I finally caved in and did it today and now the game is mocking me by making it just a little to easy for my liking but then I suppose that's how Itagaki works, well that a ****.

lol so thats the kinda gory stuff we missed out on the aussie ps3 version.

My most anticipated game finally gets a face. I clocked a good 400 hours on Black, with around about 200 for the original. This is looking mighty fine for initial screens, and likely to take another good chunk of my life away. I wouldn't have it any other way icon_wink.gif

I would highly recommend picking up NG: Black for those who haven’t experienced the original, as it’s head and shoulders above any other 3D action game ever made, not to mention infinitely better than the original. And yes, it has a Ninja Dog mode, or “loser” mode, if you will, which definitely eases the tension, but doesn’t let you forget how much of a disgrace you are. Gotta love Itagaki. icon_cool.gif

Also, by the looks of things, we’ll be seeing NG2 at TGS - in action!

Now, now, there’s no need for that. Unless of course you were there - which you weren’t, so yeah.

I can't see this possibly getting released here without nerfing of the violence, that's pretty intense for the OFLC.

Man, in the good ol days violence used to get through without a hitch, hate that it gets nerfed these days icon_sad.gif. SOF would have just been another generic FPS game without all the gore.

As long as the gameplay rocks and it kicks my ass. I'm loving sigma on the PS3, it's been sooo long since I've playing something this utterly unforgiving.

I hope there will be a PS3 release too, it's odd to see a Japanese company releasing xbox exclusives given the PS2/3 dominance in their region. Still, I'd buy a 360 for NG2 if I had too, or if some other 360 exclusive hadn't made me jump the fence before it's released icon_wink.gif

On the same page, I'm keen for some DOA5 news. I thought DOA4 was the best entry since DOA2.

Looks like NG2 is taking the mortal kombat path with this buckets of blood and body parts flying off and shit.

Looks like its going to be one hell of a game.

Ninjas FTW!

God of War got rated and it has limbs and blood everywhere, don't know why this wouldn't be.

Smartarse icon_razz.gif I don't like twitch action games like Gaiden on the 360 controller. Feels off to me.

Published by Microsoft, so 360 exclusive.

I wonder if Ryu separates as easily as the goons do. It'd add a new layer to the difficulty level. Not only are enemies hard to fight, but they can remove bits of you so it's even more difficult to fight back.

Not likely, but I can dream. I can't wait to see this in motion.
