SBK-08 announced

360 News | Coming to next generation consoles for the first time.
Red Ant Enterprises has announced via a press release that SBK-08 is currently in development at Black Bean Games. The series will be making its next generation debut and will be available on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360 and the PC. We recently reviewed the PlayStation 2 version of SBK-07 and found it to be a decent arcade/sim hybrid.

SBK-08 is an officially licensed superbike title. You'll be able to customise your vehicle once again, but those who just like to race will be looked after too. No screenshots of the game have been released yet, but the title should be out in May 2008.

I thought this also, and was extremely disappointed at hearing that it's a licensed motorbike game.
