Track & Field coming to XBLA on Wednesday

360 News | Microsoft outlines what else we should expect in the next few months.
Microsoft has confirmed that tomorrow's Xbox Live Arcade title will be Track and Field. The game will cost 400 points and allows for up to four players in multiplayer competition.

Microsoft has also confirmed that Ecco the Dolphin, Hexic 2 and War World will all be released in August, presumably starting from next Wednesday. Other titles also due in the next few months including Geon: Emotions, Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, Space Giraffe, Streets of Rage 2 and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix.

We have some numbers as well. There have been over 45 million Xbox Live Arcade downloads as of July and over 100 games will launch on the arcade by the end of the year.

It's been out how long?

The Wii's been out for just over half a year and already has more than that.

You have to remember that all the VC titles are ports of games, there is generally no optimisation involved.

XBLA titles are optimised from their original release if they are ports of older titles and there are a number of original titles available too.

I'm with Sylar, I prefer the XBLA titles over the VC titles.

Woo-Hoo! It looks like tons of fun.

Also, where's my Switchball?

Cant wait for War World, it looks like it could be the best Arcade game by far. Also I'm curious to how large the game could end up being, it looked pretty good for those short seconds in the Live Arcade montage.

^ Looking forward to Switchball too but I have a feeling we wont see it for a couple more months, have you tried Marble Blast El Taco? It seems to be pretty similar.

Been saving 800 points for the next decent game to come out, looks like Ill be keeping them for another week now.. Stupid old ports icon_razz.gif

VC eats xbla for breakfast.xbla has, what.......6 games that are must downloads? As long as you haven't played them before, or don't have any interest in playing again, over half vc titles are must haves imo.
