Rainbow 6 Vegas content available for free on marketplace

360 News | Someone made a mistake.
Last week the Rainbow 6 Vegas Black pack was released on the Xbox Live Marketplace for the sum of 800 points. Shortly after the pack appeared on the marketplace it was removed.

Ubisoft has shed light today providing the following statement "Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas Black Pack Downloadable Content for Xbox 360 Live, was originally intended to be free content for the fans of Rainbow Six Vegas. All players who purchased the Black Pack will be reimbursed by Microsoft automatically, within 8 to 10 weeks. We apologise for this error. The Black Pack was posted Saturday June 30 and will be free of charge. Also, as a token of our appreciation for the Rainbow Six community, Ubisoft is also making the Red Pack free as of Friday July 6 as well”.

The black pack features five maps and the red pack features two new multiplayer modes and even more maps. Seems like a good deal to us, but we hadn't purchased either pack.

Really enjoyed Vegas, and it is one of my most played 360 games, if not the most played. My interest had been lost by the time the red pack came out, but I got it anyway and only ended up playing for a few days before going back to all the other new titles I had.

Its good to see more content being put on the marketplace for free, interested to see these maps, so I've just downloaded the black pack.
