Few video game series inspire the same passion as Grand Theft Auto. When the first trailer for GTA IV was revealed it brought many gaming media sites to a crawl across the web. On PALGN, it's been the most downloaded video file that we've hosted in the past year.
Then, without further ado, we bring you GTA IV Trailer 2, "Looking for that special someone":
Just watched the trailer. I don't know why you people are so excited. The framerate was terrible, one of the scenes (where he is on the phone) had the framerate jumping up and down.
Although I will admit the style is quite cool (man escaping his violent past), I like the scripted scenes. But it doesn't really look next-gen to me. The graphics look a bit rough still. The game could have been taken from the PS2 and I wouldn't have known the difference.
Maybe because not everyone gets off over a game's framerate, seriously, you know you spend too much time on the internet when you are cynical on a game that hasn't even been released yet because of framerate and graphics.
GTA has always been about interesting characters, cool stories, great soundtracks and above all else, fun. Where graphics or framerate comes into that, I'm not too sure, I think it's always been the thing for people who hate on the series to complain about.
The trailers are very cool though, the new GTA guy has really got my interest peaked in GTA IV. Can't wait to see what they do for the radio stations this time around.
