Big Brother's Krystal to appear in new Need for Speed

360 News | We're not kidding.
We know very little about the next Need for Speed title ProStreet but News.com.au has revealed that previous Big Brother contestant Krystal Forscutt will appear in Need for Speed: ProStreet.

Forscutt is one of two females who will appear in digital form in the game. "It's my first sort of international appearance, I guess," Forscutt told the Sunday Telegraph. "It will probably weird me out a bit to watch. It's like when I see myself on TV - I can't stand to watch it, but I'll definitely play the game."

Krystal appeared in last year's version of Big Brother. She then went on to model for men's magazine Zoo Weekly and just finished up on the Channel 7 show, It Takes Two.

It's cool that she's aussie and I looked up some pics and she's quite hot (i'm sure those are implants....they're just too nice round and scrumptious), but I hate big brother with a passion and I hate it how people are supposedy getting famous sitting around and doing nothing. I hate reality TV so much I actually stopped watching tv because of the abundance of it, so it really irks me when these big brother contestants are everywhere for nothing.

I find it amusing that this topic has produced so much discussion compared to those below, mostly people saying she's hot or she has a terrible personality. I know who she is, and I don't really care, probably would have been cheaper to put a CG girl in but whatever works for them.
We could probably move all discussion to efo's "Hot Girls" thread.*

*Doesn't actually exist. And no, don't make one efo.

There's a hot chicks thread? Like where?

She just doesn't deserve to be there. And yeah Ugh, they're implants. Her and her mother got them together and she took out a 10 grand loan to get them at the time.

Good people though.

I'm not really upset that they chose her to be in the game, I just hope that they dont loose sight that this is a game about cars with female accessories and dont loose sight of that.

I'm guessing this NFS is going to have a local "Celeb" for each region, and Australia's getting Krystal. Otherwise there's a tonne of american girls with similar "talents" that could easilly fill the role.
Nah I don't think that's it. They're not trying to put a girl in who everyone knows, just someone who everyone agrees is hot.

And everyone in this thread who thinks that having plastic surgery comprimises a person's dignity/integrity needs to stop being so prejudice. The majority who go under the knife do it because of some serious self-esteem issues.

lol ... so much heated debate about a girl modelling in a game

She did modelling prior to BB, she did more modelling after BB and now she's doing .... modelling!
I got no problem with the girl....just the 'big brother's krystal'. If she was such a hot model how come no one has heard of her untill after she's done big brother?

I do think she's hot and I couldn't care less cuz Need for Speed what? But I hate how she's being promoted as 'big brother's krystal'. I would probably be in love with her if she had nothing to do with big brother.

The boost in sales will be neglegible. NFS sells most in the USA where they don't know who Krystal is.
I suppose theoretically they could localise the game with different ex BB housemates throughout different regions.

I can't see EA wasting their money like that.

Krystal will provide some Eye Candy for the game as she always does when she's in Zoo Weekly icon_lol.gif

I'm actually a little bit astounded by the misogyny of many of the posts in this thread.

So far, I've heard a woman be called a b***h, a ****, stupid, etc in the space of 40 posts.

Whether you personally find the woman attractive, appealing, unappealing, or whatever, can we do it in slightly adult terms?
I think the scary thing is I didn't even notice such unnecessary language until you pointed it out. No wonder journalists talk about the rise in misogynism shows like Big Brother and explicit music videos have produced in recent years. I find her superficial as a celebrity and have no interest in her appearances but as a person I can still respect her enough not to call her a b*&^h, **** or whatever.

I think what is hilarious is that this thinly-veiled hatred of women comes from people who don't even know this Krystal person. Sure, she was on Big Brother, but we know that's about as real as 'Everybody Loves Raymond'.

The other thing which amuses me is if Krystal did not have surgically enhanced breasts, you can rest assured that many men (read: boys) on this thread would be complaining that 'She ain't got no T*ts' or something to that effect.

I sometimes hate being male, and reading this thread reinforces why. We honestly suck.

P.S - no sex change for me though...for one, I don't have the funds.

Speak for yourself, you may suck but not me. I love being a male and one of the things I love most about it is you can have a go without someone getting all sooky and emo about it all.

If people wanna say she's a **** or whatever let em, it's not like she's your g/f so you don't need to worry about how others look at her.

Each to their own..

I don't believe there's any misogyny involved. I've noticed similar threads across the internet echoing similarly heated (and immature) comments on a number of issues, and I believe it's a mindset that we've been indoctrinated with.

Basically, as men, we're naturally attracted to beautiful women. Since the sexual revolution, we've since been constantly told by women that this makes us shallow, and is wrong. Women constantly complain about women on television and in magazines who get where they are based on their physical appearance, rather than any degree of intelligence of talent, and deride men who accept such superficiality.

So no, none of us hate women. We just love women so much, we do whatever they tell us - even if means putting other women down. icon_lol.gif

P.S. That doesn't make it right.

Before anyone gets too high up on a moral high-horse I'd like to ask this: If this thread had been about a male and similar comments were posted, would a similar response have appeared?

I doubt it.

Say... Anthony Callea on the cover of Gran Turismo 4?

This almost makes me want to read through the thread to see what all the fuss is about. 3 pages about a person who was on Big Brother... yikes.

I enjoy the fact that although I now know that 'Krystal' was on Big Brother, and I have a feeling that Anthony Callea is in music... I wouldn't be able to pick either out of a line up, and have no real idea who they are or what they do.

And right on cue, there's Ugh being so resolutely himself (which is unfortunate).

I do not 'suck' as you put it, simply because I'm kinda offended about the way some guys talk about women. I fully acknowledge, and this is directed at Nev too, that one of the things us guys like to do is talk about women and share our 'appreciation'. I know it's a male thing to do, but I disagree with Nev that it comes from a place of 'loving women so much'.

To me, it comes from a place of hatred. We love the bodies of women, but we have contempt for the brains behind them. We love to visually admire women who flaunt their sexuality, but then we call them sl*ts and b*tches, etc.

It's one thing to have a discussion like this with a close group of mates in private. If that were what was happening here, Ugh, i wouldn't get 'sooky and emo' about it (seriously, did you start using 'emo' as an insult after reading a few 'Spider-Man 3' reviews? Give me a break). But what's happening here is quite a hateful (for the most part) discussion about a woman in a public place, and while I know it seems hypocritical to sanction one set of values for each of the private and public spheres, I think at the very least it would be better for gamers, and gaming culture, and games, if men/boys treated women in a semi-dignified way.

Games are a 'Boys Club', and until people start acting like it's otherwise, it will remain a Boys Club.

P.S - Ugh, I should rephrase: I actually love being a man - but a man like me, not a man like you.

P.P.S - Karai, I understand your argument, but honestly, women, in general, do not so openly discuss their hatred of men / denigration of men in so much of a public way. History is not on the side of your argument - women seem to have only begun this new-era 'Sex and the City' forceful sexuality-thing as a response to the full-frontal assault they receive at the hands of men/male culture. And by the way, as I said in my earlier post, the depiction of men in games also really annoys me and bothers me.

LOL! same! /\ @Capoiera

I don't really care that she came from Big brother or that she has implants, a lot of people get a break and move on from the mundane world of TV's 5 minute celebrity status.
Whoopdeedoohdahday.

Good on her. icon_y1.gif
Good on EA for taking on some Aussie crumpet too. icon_y1.gif

Wow sidzed2, I think you should get a sex change. You are actually like a woman.

Anyways, I just wish it was an Aussie 'crumpet' that deserved it.

That's exactly the opposite of what I was saying.

My point was that we've been told by women NOT to judge women based purely on their aesthetic appeal... That we should judge them by their abilities, talents and intelligence.

And whilst I disagree with referring to women in such derogatory terms as evidenced here (I've made similar complaints in the past, and I find it immature), I can understand why people see fit to question why these women are getting where they are in the world.

If Krystal were known for her love of video games, or if she'd risen to popularity racing on Bathurst, I doubt you'd be seeing these kinds of comments. It's simply a backlash to her being valued ONLY for her visual appeal that people are objecting to.

Does that give them the right to call her names? No. But when you make your career in the public eye, it goes with the territory.

I believe you'll find that women who are attractive AND intelligent (Kari from the Mythbusters is a perfect example) are by and large praised.. It's the Paris Hiltons of the world that suffer the criticisms, either for their shallow, selfish natures, lack of intelligence, or both.

P.S. (I hate myself too. Not for being a man, but for creating this abomination:)
