Xbox 360 Forza 2 bundle announced

360 News | Microsoft takes the logical step.
Microsoft Australia has confirmed via a press release that they'll be releasing an Xbox 360 bundle package which will include a premium console and a copy of Forza Motorsport 2 for the $699.95.

The bundle pack will be released alongside the game's official launch, which is set for June the 14th. The Xbox 360 Wireless Racing wheel will also see a temporary price drop and will be available for $149.95 until the 31st of July and yes, it still comes packed with Project Gotham Racing 3. Microsoft will also be releasing a limited tin box Collector's Edition of Forza Motorsport 2, which will come with additional cars and a "Making of" book. The Collector's Edition will be available for $109.95 but there will also be a standard edition available for $99.95.

Logical move by Microsoft, could see it coming from a mile away icon_smile.gif

Excellent news on the drop of the price of the Steering Wheel. I might finally pick it up.

They should include that wheel with the premium pack for about $100 more or something. That would be a racing fans pack to get if you don't already own the 360.

It'd be nice if they included Forza 2 with the wheel for say $200 rather than PGR3. Almost everyone I know has PGR3.

Plus I have two wheels for the PS2 and xbox already and it would have to take a good deal to buy another.

That's basically the reason I don't buy any of that crap, light guns, steering wheels, guitars (lol)....all of that stuff gets superceeded fairly soon and is only compatiable with a limited number of games and machines. If the standard controller can't do the job then it's too niche of a product for me to bother with it anyways.

I do agree they should get rid of PGR3 with all those packs and replace them with Forza 2 now.

Rinse and repeat for me too. Despite deciding not to get the wheel due to having to use it on my lap, at $150 I cannot say no to the wheel. That's the cheapest I think I have ever seen a (decent) console steering wheel, so yes definitely picking it up at that price.

The question is though, is the price effective now or does it come into effect when Forza 2 releases on the 14th?
