Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights Preview

360 Preview | We look at how you'll be able to customise your ride in Hot Import Nights.
Customisation has been a feature of just about every street racing game in the past few years. Titles like Need for Speed and Fast and the Furious have all featured some form of customisation, but for Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights THQ has gone all out. After going hands on with the game recently at THQ, we thought we'd take an extended look at just how much customisation you'll be able to do to your car.

On the subject of cars, you'll be able to choose from about ninety of them. The game features over 600 body kits from 300 after market parts manufacturers. If decals are your thing then you'll be pleased to know it's possible to add up to fifty layers of decals to your car. There is a large range of decals to choose from including THQ themed decals and even alien decals. Juiced Games really seem to have gone all out to ensure their are bundles of decals, at last count there were around 2,000. Once you've selected a decal you can move it anywhere on the car as well as rotate it, increase the size and flip it.

There are plenty of other visual improvements you can make to your ride as well. It's possible to edit and add hoods, lights, exhausts, wheels, rims, mirrors and spoilers. You'll even be able to customise the interior of your car including doors and the steering wheel. Taking it one step further you'll also be able to customise your number plate and yes, you can choose to install a Sydney number plate, although it appears you won't be able to install a Melbourne plate though.

Visual mods are impressive, but a good looking car is nothing without a bit of power under the hood. Thankfully there are plenty performance modifications you can make. As you progress through the career mode in Hot Import Nights, you'll be able to install modifications such as nitrous. You'll also be able to purchase a new exhaust system, new suspension, brakes, tires and a new turbo system. Hot Import Nights will also show you what effect your modifications will have on your car before you purchase the vehicle, which should save a couple of thousand dollars.

You can literally see the parts being applied to your car.

Customisation however is pointless without being able to share your car. Thankfully you can take your car online to show off to your friends and even be able to sell a template of your car online. It's clear that Juice Games has gone to a lot of effort to ensure the customisation in Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights is unparalleled and from our early look at the game, it looks like they just may well succeed.
Overall:
If customisation is your thing, then Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights is sure to have you covered.
