Sega confirms Condemned sequel

360 News | For Xbox 360 and PS3; online play included.
Sega has confirmed that a follow-up to gory Xbox 360 thriller Condemned is in the pipeline, and is set to appear on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Condemned 2: Bloodshot will again see players tracking down sadistic serial killers, and promises an all-new fighting mechanic, as well as online multiplayer functionality. Monolith Productions is once more behind the development wheel.

"The original Condemned was a game which truly shocked and scared its players with its subtle details, gripping story and eerie tension throughout," said SEGA Europe European Marketing Director Gary Knight. "Condemned 2: Bloodshot takes these three key elements to heightened new levels, providing a superb mature gaming experience that will constantly surprise its players and keep them gripped from start to finish."

No media yet, but Condemned's status as one of the unsung gems of the Xbox 360 line-up means we'll be keeping a close eye on this one.

Anyone who has finished Criminal Origins knew that this was coming, but regardless of that fact, FAN-FREAKIN'-TASTIC!

Bit of an over reaction there? Hell no, Condemned was one of the most immersive games I have ever played so a sequel is awesome news from where I am standing. Bring it the hell on!

Yeah condemned was a players choice game, scored low by those 'in the know' but those who actually bought and played the game loved it.

I love the 'first's you seen in the game for the very first time.Like when you smash a hobo across the face with a very steel, hard, cold, real looking gas pipe and his teeth go off to one side.Excellent.
