Gears COG Tag location videos now on XBL Marketplace

360 News | Definitely not a microtransaction.
Honestly, who doesn't mind looking up strategy videos online or reading FAQs to find out where those hidden items are? Well, Microsoft has released five strategy videos for Gears of War covering each of the acts in the game, to tell you where to find the COG tags in the game.

How generous you may think. Well, if the videos were moderately priced this would be an enticing purchase, yet each of the five videos is priced at 100 Microsoft Points, so if you want to know where all of the COG tags are, then you'll need to spend 500 Microsoft Points. Yes, that's more expensive than the retro games on the Xbox Live Arcade.

Lol why in the world would people pay to find those, I mean couldnt they just look it up on the net....?

I think it's a cool idea. I mean chances are you'd only be missing one or two levels. I'd like to see more of this in the future, perhaps priced a little bit less, but in any case, I like having the choice for this kind of stuff.

psshhh i know this might be a good way for people to find things if they dont have the net, but then who has broadband and doesnt have a pc?? lol
they not getting money from me for anything like that - if i was ever going to use walkthroughs of anykind, i would like the official ones - and as said before - you can find easy user made ones anywhere on the net for free....

That is just daylight robbery!! M$ has gone crazy squeezing every cent out of gamers pockets, how the **** can unemployed teenagers keep up with this!!

I found all the cog tags using a guide off gamefaqs, and it was easy as AND FREE!

Seriously M$ smarten your act up!! and quit bossing Epic arround about charging for maps.

That's crazy pricing. I just hope this trend doesn't continue as it would probably lead to how to videos on YouTube, etc. being taken down.

There's probably a minority who will buy this; certainly anyone who's heard of the internet won't though. icon_shifty.gif

Considering they would need an internet connection in order to buy this content, that sentence doesn't exactly work too well. icon_razz.gif
