Command & Conquer 3 demo on Marketplace

360 News | Prepare for a Kane-ing online.
EA has released the demo for Command & Conquer 3 on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The demo, which weighs in at about 1GB, is available to gold members only at the moment; silver members will be able to download it next week.

The demo features three modes and includes Xbox Live support, so you can battle against your friends. Command & Conquer 3 has been optomised for the Xbox 360, and after the great job EA did with The Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth II, we have high hopes that those who don't have a powerful enough PC will have a viable alternative in Command & Conquer 3 for the Xbox 360.

^ Maximum download limit before you get slowed down. Im in the same boat - only 100mb to go and I want the demo pretty badly.

EDIT: What he said icon_razz.gif Ive got 24 off peak so ill probably download it tomorrow morning if I dont go over my limit.

It seems a lot faster paced than the PC version, but the graphics aren't as crisp or detailed. The controls are very similar to BFME2 and seem to work quite well with the 360 controller, and combined with a few minor gameplay changes make the game feel quite natural. You no longer have multiple build queues, but each extra building seems to reduce your build times, and you can set a primary building where the units will appear.

I think that I still prefer the PC version, but I will probably buy the 360 version for Live! and the achievements.

lol yeah, sounds like we got the same plan.

Currently I'm at like 90% of my peak download (like 10900mb downloaded so far) but under 2500mb in off peak times. Need to go more after midnight downloads icon_lol.gif

This is only because of the few issues I had with my PS3 of my own doing which had me downloading gran turismo hd 3 times icon_sad.gif so thats like over 2gb wasted

Well I was holding off on buying the PC version so I could check out the X360 version.

I have "acquired" the PC version, but I think I will end up "buying" the X360 version for Live and the achievements.

The graphics arent quite as good on the X360, and the controls are defiantly better on the PC. I had a few live games on the demo though, and they are seriously fun....plus I know more friends I can play online with that have X360's....compared to those that have decent gaming pc rigs.

Can someone tell me what the demo has in it?
Like a tutorial and 1 level or a few levels?

I want to try it out but I'm near my limit cap as well and would hate to download it if it is like a 10 minute demo.

There's a training level and two campaign levels in the demo, as well as xbox live.

Its the same as the PC demo....1 tutorial, 2 missions....and a Xbox Live pre-set match option.

There are tons of people playing this game though, usually takes 1 second to find a match.
