Lost to arrive in 2007

360 News | Game tie-in for seemingly never-ending TV series.
It's no secret that Lost, the not-quite-as-popular-as-it-was TV show about a group of suspiciously good-looking people who crash land on a tropical island and are marooned for months yet still always manage to find clean clothes, is being turned into a videogame. Indeed, it's been almost a year since Ubisoft first delivered the news that the project was underway.

However, we now have a few more nuggets of info concerning the tie-in, courtesy of Lost executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, who spoke about the game in a recent official podcast for the show. Discussing the release date for the title, the pair revealed that the game would appear before the end of this year, and that it would be released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, as well as unnamed handheld consoles.

They also let slip that Ubisoft's Montreal studio was handling the project, with Cuse telling listeners, "We were sitting here with the guys that are making it, who actually are from Canada - Montreal. And they did a demo of some of the elements of it and it's really cool. It's actually going to be a pretty cool game."

Whatever. Just make sure you finish off the annoying hobbit early, chaps. Thanks.

i'm curious to what type of game they are going to make this, it'll be pretty cool if they somehow added a sense of scariness from it.

dont think i remember too many tv shows that turn into video games being sucessfull though god just look at that big brother wannabe online game.

It's a game where you have no clue where you are and with no end in sight.

starting to sound like the sims.

Hmm,

I can't understand how this game would work..and well all know that movie/ tv shows to games = suck. Who knows it could turn out well but it is unlikely. The TV series is great though.

Could end up being the most useless game since ET, and we all know how well that came about. icon_boohoo.gif

well if they wanted to make it interesting maybe they can make you go through a character creation stage >.> and maybe choose your past/background... i dunno i'd probably opt for the mass murderer type character +_+

Console wise its only coming out on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC? Awesome! It means the games probably going to be very visually pleasing. I cant wait for this game, I abolsutely love the series and im sure the game will keep me addicted for just as long too. I wonder how they will work new stories into it and if they will corespond with season 4?

Yeah I also wonder what shape this game will take.
I'm a bit of a fan of LOST so I hope they don't turn it into some shambolic mess.

Actually I can already see some sort of sim life game then you hear a roar from the jungle then it switches to a first person mode as loche with a bowie knife. icon_razz.gif

I'm sad to admit though that it is probably going to turn into a cashcow game like *shudder* desperate housewives or even worse men in black on playstation 1 *horror*

i love the show, but i can't see how the game would work. probably like The Sims, as suggested above, which would annoy me no end, as i can't stand those style of game.

i just hope it isn't a full tie in, so you need to play it to get some of the story in the show.

Its hard to see where this game is going, but like everyone else i'm just as interested.

Also speaking of tv shows that turn into games, I think that hero's could be a show to convert worth looking at too. Gives the person alittle spunk.

I, like many others watched the first two seasons of the show and then dropped it.

If the game is anything like the damn series, expect it to be convoluted with bizarre and seamingly meaningless twists and turns, only to end on a supposed cliffhanger. There wont be an ending.. it will lead into a 'to be continued' scenario..

Onto TV show games.. The Shield I found to be quite enjoyable. Unfortunately I cant quite set the Z axis on my USB controller so that spoils playing the game properly.

Season two was extremely frustrating, season three has consistently been great, IMO.

IGN reviewed the mobile version of the game three months ago. Apparently it follows the story of the show so closely that it feels heavily on-rails. It's probably a good indication of what's to come with the other versions.

I can see this flop like most movie/tv show games. lol, I wonder how many people actually bought Desperate housewives. icon_lol.gif

I can only see Lost fans/collectors/kids to buy this game.

I can imagine this game absolutely filled with text and slow talking, with, no option to skip the text icon_lol.gif
