XBLA to get original Prince of Persia?

360 Rumour | New listing on German ratings site raises questions.
German software rating organisation Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle - basically, the Teutonic equivalent of the OFLC - has "Prince of Persia Classic" listed on its site as a future release for the Xbox 360, and supposedly published by Ubisoft.

The entry was spotted by the eagle-eyed types at Eurogamer, and suggests that we could be about to see an Xbox Live Arcade revival for the original 2D Prince of Persia. The game first appeared in 1989, and then also in 2003 as an unlockable bonus in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

Alas, Ubi's representative refused to play ball when approached about the game's appearance on the USK site, though if such a release is on the cards, it shouldn't be too long before official word is sent our way.

Man, you guys are whack! DOS for life!

In all seriousness I was wondering about that too - Just what was superious about the SNES version? Serious question, I never played it on SNES.

^ More colours better animation, better graphics (prince had a turben etc) and better sound.

Personally i've played the DOS/PC one to death (first game I had on PC and it used to load and play off the actual 3.5" floppy. It was in mono colour aswell), so I wouldn't mind the SNES version....but from the sounds of things it might be the DOS version.

It's more likely the Mac version which is extremely superior graphically to the DOS version, and was the one used in Sands of Time.
