Guitar Hero 360 fixed

360 News | New patch sorts out dodgy guitars.
RedOctane has released a software patch to help fix the defective whammy bars that affected a number of the X-plorer guitars that shipped with the Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero II. The publisher says that the patch, which is available via Xbox Live, "should resolve the situation where input from the whammy bar was not always recognised."

Good on RedOctane, we say - so long as it works, that is. Anyone had a chance to try? Tell us the outcome in the forums.

Yeah, I had a bit of a play with it last night and my Whammy! action is working much better now. I still suck a good deal, but at least the whammy is more responsive now icon_smile.gif

I don't think it was the whammy bar at all, but in-fact, WAS software... I was playing the game with the xbox controller, and using the thumbstick as the whammy bar ALSO caused a delay in recognition. Glad it's fixed now tho
