Mystery slot on Guitar Hero 360 controller explained

360 News | Pedal to the metal.
It looks like the Xbox 360 incarnation of Guitar Hero II could yet hold even more secrets, despite the game being less than a week away from global release. The eagle-eyed Joystiq team spied a new morsel of information in the instruction booklet for the US version of the game, which reveals that the Xbox 360 Guitar Hero controller has a separate port for a peripheral based on an effects pedal.

Indeed, pictures of the manual confirm the existence of the port, which still hasn't been explained by publisher RedOctane or developer Harmonix. The instruction booklet does go on to point out that the effects pedal port is "currently not available", but heck, it can only be a matter of time, right?

Pop over to the Media Panel to see the shots of the manual.
