Aussie Darkness release dated

360 News | We've seen the light.

The Darkness, the latest release from the creators of The Chronicles of Riddick, has finally been dated for Australian and New Zealand release. Current plans are for release in Australia and New Zealand on the 29th of June, 2007.

The Darkness is a FPS based on a somewhat dark (boom-tish) comic series from Top Cow. It features Jackie Estacado, a mob member with supernatural powers. Celebrity voice overs are to include Kirk Acevedo (from Band of Brothers and Oz) as Jackie, Mike Patton (ex-Faith No More member) as The Darkness, and Lauren Ambrose (from Six Feet Under) as Jenny.

A preview covered by PALGN previously showed a great deal of promise, albeit at what was clearly an early stage of development. The game is intended for release on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
