New Lost Planet maps released

360 News | They're not free though.
Two more maps have been released on the Xbox Live Marketplace for Lost Planet: Extreme Conditio. The two maps are "Radar Field" and "Island 902".

The two maps will set you back 400 Microsoft points and come in at 161MB. “Radar Field,” is described by Capcom as being a closed quarters facility which is under construction and has a giant radar that provides an excellent vantage point, while “Island 902” is a sprawling Pacific-themed battlefield with several islands connected by bridges, as well as vast underwater areas.

Whilst you're waiting for the map packs to download, feel free to get lost in our review.

IMO for 2 maps that is an absolute rip off.. Should have been 200 points max.

Great game and with one of the best multiplayers on 360..but if they bringing out more maps at that price i might get rid of it..

Additional content is not a bloody reason to sell a game over, regardless of what you think of its pricing structure. icon_rolleyes.gif

yeh but it splits the community up.

And that's a reason to sell a game over? You sell a game because you either think it sucks, you've finished it, or because you need the money. You don't sell a game because the developers decided to release additional content that just happens to be optional and because it has a chance of splitting a supposed community up.

Seeing as I won the game off this site, any chance of giving me the maps too? Just kidding.

I can see both of the above points, though I generally find that unless the maps are popular (i.e. free), not many people will play them. How many games of Raven Down do you see on GoW? It does fragment the community to an extent, but if the maps are that popular, then they must be worth buying.

^ A lot, actually. Raven Down was the more popular map than Old Bones was, or so it seems based on what was available whenever I have been playing.

It would make sense too I guess, since Raven Down is a very up close, intense and fast map.
