GDC 2007: More Viva Piñata on the way

360 News | Good news if you ask us.
Rare has revealed to Gamesindustry.biz that more Viva Piñata games are on the way. Rare has promised to keep supporting the franchise for at least another two or three years.

"We're pleased with the overall support that it's got and there's more to come within that franchise," said Lee Schuneman, the head of production at Rare. "We'd obviously like more sales, but we were happy with the game and critically it's gone down very well."

We're big fans of Viva Piñata here at PALGN, as our review revealed.

Hope they get creative with the next games and have the ability to somehow use the save game information from viva pinata in some way.

Less loading would make Viva Pinata awesome, it's annoying loading into and out of the journal.

Oh hell yeah!

Okay okay, it was sorta predictable considering that it isn't just a game but yeah, still awesome news anyway. Viva Pinata owns hard and I definitely can't wait for the sequel, or any other upcoming game for that matter. icon_biggrin.gif

Oh yeah this is awesome, all I can hope for is being able to visit other people's gardens (even if you can't do anything to them).
