GDC 2007: Every Extend Extra extending to XBLA

360 News | Mizuguchi's latest follows Lumines to 360.
Excellent musical shooter Every Extend Extra will be the latest game from Tetsuya Mizuguchi and his Q Entertainment studio to join the Xbox Live Arcade ranks. Every Extend Extra Extreme (shortened to E4) is essentially a port of the PSP original, only with lovely HD graphics, online leaderboards, 5.1 surround sound, and full online multiplayer via Xbox Live. The title should be available for your downloading pleasure later this year.

E4 isn't the only Mizuguchi game to make the jump from PSP to 360 in recent times, of course - Lumines on the PSP became Lumines Live on the Xbox 360, and enjoyed some success as a XBLA download. Alas, we're still waiting for that "Space Channel 5/Rez on XBLA" announcement. Bah.

Still good to see EEEE coming.

Sega owns the rights to Rez. Unless they updated it I don't see a need for a XBLA release. I'd rather see a sequel, or rather a sequel in Mizuguchi's eyes (as he's expressed his next game will be).

Cool about E4, hopefully the pricing is more sensible this time round.

I'll get this game if it's 400 points, 800 points is a rip off for a port imho

You guide around a little bomb, trying to blow yourself up, taking as much other stuff with you. You can download the original version online if you google every extend.

XBox 360 hey?

Just a few more games and my scale will tip. I far prefer the industrial design of MS's beast to SONY's offering, and tidbits like this sweeten the deal. I'm starting to think 360. Unless of coure Q gives some Wii loving and Virtua Tennis makes use of a Wiimote nunchuck combo, then they got nothin.
