Despite earlier claims of the title being solely developed for the PC, Arkane Studios' official website points at the development of an Xbox 360 version, with the company seeking new members with expertise in Xbox 360 Programming, among other positions.
The position mentions that Arkane Studios are currently seeking a Xbox 360 programmer who “will handle porting, maintaining, and optimizing the codebase for the Xbox 360 version of the game, developed on the Valve’s Source Engine”, suggesting that an Xbox 360 version is undoubtedly in the making.
The Crossing is a first-person shooter that will fuse single and multi-player gameplay together, allowing players to take the place of enemies in the single player campaign and cause more problems than your typical AI opponent. It is unknown whether the game will utilise Microsoft’s ‘Live Anywhere’ service that allows PC users to play against Xbox 360 users seamlessly, much like Shadowrun.
The Crossing is currently penciled in for a 2008 release.
