New BioShock screenshots

Irrational Games, the developers behind the unfortunately overlooked System Shock 2, has released a bunch of new screenshots from its enticing new first-person shooter, BioShock.

The game combines all sorts of abnormal sci-fi themes of biogenetic mutations that’ll surely be a hit amongst gamers. BioShock is strictly a single player experience (that means no multiplayer, fellas) and is being written by Susan O’Connor, whose most recent work includes Gears of War and Star Wars Galaxies.

The new screenshots can be found in our Media Panel – just be careful not to leave any drool.

Very good indeed.

The fact that this game has no multiplayer doesn't bother me in the slightest. Too much emphasis is being put on the MP facet of games of late.

I couldn't agree more! Some games are just designed with single player in mind, but then get an MP section shoe-horned in because its expected - more devs (or more to the point, publishers) should have the guts to focus soley on the single player game and not waste resources making a weak add-on that next to no one will use.

The Company behind it, in my opinion, are the kings of single player, they really can't go wrong it that field (although sales will generally tell you otherwise, stupid people not buying awesome games).
