More Gears of War content coming soon

360 News | Should keep those three million customers happy.
Game Informer recently interviewed Epic Games VP Mark Rein on new content for Gears of War and the inevitable successor. When asked whether the Gears of War team was on holiday or working on GOW2, Rein stated "No, they're still working on Gears."

"You saw that we put one update out, and we've got another one coming out any day now - I'm not exactly sure when, We have another update in the works with a little surprise in it, and we have more downloadable content. We're still working on making Gears a better game. You'll have to wait and see what comes from that."

The possibility of Gears of War coming for the PC won't go away, with Rein stating that Epic has " always said that at some point, Gears would come to PC, or could come to PC."

"We demoed it. The first year at E3 we demoed it, it was on a PC. It's not a question of if it can run, it's a question of when's the right time, and when do we have the right people to do it and is it the right platform for it?" Rein stated "So there's no final decision on that yet. Right now, it's an Xbox 360 exclusive. If you want to play Gears, go buy a 360."

Hopefully fixes the count down issue on online and VGA, and touches on the A button and the chainsaw.

Huh, didn't we just get a new content a few weeks back? They're pumping it out at a fair pace! I, for one, applaud our benevolent new overlords icon_smile.gif

Seriously though, it's good to see that Epic are still dedicated to giving their users a quality experience.

Limited ? Isn't there about 12 already ?

I love how Epic supports games long after the release date.

^Epics support for UT99 was absolutely stunning. They stopped about 3 months after UT2003 was released. So expect Gears to get heavy support until the sequel icon_smile.gif

^ And then get bored and realise you have the Gears bug.

Gears has taken the limelight from both Lost Planet and Zelda: TP for me.

I'm with Groovy in a way actually, the maps do come across as a little on the limited side. But then, we all play it so damn much that of course we're going to get a little bit sick of playing on them after a while, hence why this constant flow of content from Epic is fracking awesome. Again, can't wait for this to be available.
