Hellgate: London could be 360-bound

360 News | Namco-Bandai chap drops big, fat hint.
In an interview with Next-Gen.biz, Namco-Bandai bigwig Zach Karlsson has insinuated that Hellgate: London will be heading to the Xbox 360. Namco-Bandai is due to co-publish the keenly anticipated PC RPG/shooter with Electronic Arts, with the title scheduled to hit store shelves in mid-2007.

However, it now seems as though PC gamers may not be the only ones who will enjoy the promising fruits of developer Flagship Studios' labour. When asked about the possibility of a Xbox 360 version, Karlsson (clearly a man who enjoys his double negatives) apparently "admitted that it’s highly unlikely that such a notion is far from the company’s planning calendar." Finger crossed, then.

Anyway, for the latest swish-looking shots of the eagerly awaited PC RPG-cum-shooter, see our Media Panel.

Well if the game turns out half as good as it sounds it would be good value on the Xbox 360.

Especially if your PC needs replacing like mine.

Well I've been predicting a popular MMORPG would come to Xbox 360 eventually and it looks like Hellgate London will be the first to do it.

There is such an obvious lucrative market for a MMORPG on consoles I'm surprised Square has been the only one to attempt it so far. I still think Elder Scrolls online is gonna happen also.

As far as I could recall Hellgate wasn't an MMORPG, I thought it was more like Diablo, could be (and most likely are) wrong though.

It's an MMOARPGFPS. Massively Multiplayer Online Action Role Playing Game First Person shooter icon_smile.gif

It has a persistent world like WoW apparently but is split into many instances like Guild Wars.

Aha, I just took my reasoning from the fact that the game world is random, like Diablo.
