Guitar Hero 360 launch info shows up?

360 Rumour | Site lets slip price and date.
Online retailer Play.com has beaten publisher Activision to revealing the first release details for the Xbox 360 version of the Guitar Hero II bundle. The site only lists a UK price currently, with the £64.99 (AU$162) tag £20 (AU$50) more than what the game costs on PlayStation 2. According to Play, the game is also due to launch on March 23 in the UK.

The Xbox 360 version will come with ten exclusive new songs, including "Billion Dollar Babies" by Alice Cooper, "Dead!" by My Chemical Romance, "Hush" by Deep Purple, "Life Wasted" by Pearl Jam, "Rock 'n' Roll Hoochie Koo" by Rick Derringer, "Possum Kingdom" by Toadies, "Salvation" by Rancid and "The Trooper" by Iron Maiden.

We'll keep our ears close to the ground for solid Aussie details. Stay tuned, fellow rockers.

$150 AUS? No no no. I might have bought it (never played a GH) if it was cheap.

I </3 you.

I want this, but not for a $50 premium on the PS2 version. Beyond the addition of a few more songs, I don't see what else we're getting to warrant that.

I agree with Spanca there, and am very much hoping that the listed price is incorrect. I've been holding off on getting the PS2 version in favour of getting the 360 one, but now I'm not so sure.
Especially when a wireless PS2 Guitar controller is about to hit shelves, and the 360 one will be wired...

The price doesn't really surprise me when we're paying $120 for a game on its own. But I do hope its cheaper.

That being said the PS2 version has an rrp of something like $140, even though you could get it as low as $117.

If that is $150 for just the game then that is basically ludicrous!
No way can 10 bonus songs equate to a mark up of that proportion.
Sounds like scandalous cash grabbing to me.
Would be nice if it was $150 with the guitar peripheral though.
I'd be tempted to buy it.

Achievements anyone? icon_wink.gif

I love the game so much that I'll buy it again without a second thought. Although I think I might love the game a little too much. I've been getting some pretty painful bouts of RSI from playing the game. I've even had to keep myself away from it for extended periods of time. No game has ever taken me to the brink of injury like Guitar Hero has. A labor of love maybe. Regardless, I'll still pick this baby up given the price is right and at the moment it most certainly is not.

I've seen the achievements to GH2, a lot of them are somewhat hard. Most are attainable if you can beat Expert though, however there's still a few that will be somewhat nuts to get.

Great. All I need is another game to show how little I can achieve in. icon_sad.gif

Rumours are that the guitar has a port that the 360 Racing Wheel pedals can plug into. Now that will make this version blast the PS2 one out of the water.

That's is just genius, that is. I'm hoping that's not just wishful thinking from some eager fan. Course, I'd have to shell out for the racing wheel... but distortion pedals would be in-f**king-credible.

Bit too expensive for me..Ill give it a miss. You can already get the PS2 version about $20-40 below RRP probably..

This was from the "hands on" from Tycho when they demoed it to them. He said it has an RJ-11(?) port on the bottom which is the same as in the steering wheel.

Maybe get lucky on eBay? After all, it is a wholesalers market.

The best I've seen on Ebay (for the bundle) so far is $133
And that's before postage icon_sad.gif

I'm going to check out what JB are asking for it shortly, but I don't really expect it to be much cheaper.

Here ya go

Why no one even bid the minimum of $25 is beyond me since this seller has 100% feedback.

Pity there don't seem to be any current ones going for that kind of price. I can't believe that went un-bid on! Even if you already had the game you could have made a tidy profit buying that and selling it on.

Bah!

Yeah, if you really want something for a bargain, make sure you research every single day. icon_wink.gif
