UEFA Champions League 2006-2007 announced

360 News | An EA soccer game, believe it or not.
The EA-developed UEFA Champions League 2006-2007 is on its way to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PSP and PC, and is pencilled in for a release in March.

The Xbox 360 version of the game will introduce a collectible virtual card system, which will enable you to develop your team. In the Ultimate Team Mode, you'll be able to use the collectible cards to hand pick your team, staff members and stadium, and you'll be able to trade cards online and build a superteam.

“We celebrate the passion football fans have for their club teams by capturing all of the classic rivalries in-game and enabling players to win glory for their club teams in UEFA Champions League 2006-2007,” said Ken Sayler, lead producer on the Xbox 360 system. “This is the ultimate stage for club football in Europe and we’re giving you the power to build and manage your dream team by creating a unique virtual card system to collect, trade and use players on your way to glory.”

EA also sent along the first images of the game, and these can be found in our Media Panel. We'll have more information on UEFA Champions League 2006-2007 shortly.
