In the game, it will be up to Leonardo and Splinter to reunite the turtles as Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo lose their focus and struggle to maintain their discipline. The game appears to be following the direction taken by the film; that is, it's looking like a more realistic, darker experience than other TMNT games which have been released in recent years.
“The TMNT movie is all about the emotions associated with family and teenage angst,” said Nick Harper, creative director of the TMNT game at Ubisoft’s Montreal development studio. “We’ve taken that philosophy and turned it into gameplay mechanics that will be fun and challenging.
Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo are playable and each have unique acrobatic moves, weapons and combat skills, such as Michelangelo’s fast nunchuk face slap, and Raphael’s powerful Sai throw. You'll also be able to work together to get to areas that the turtles wouldn't be able to reach alone.
