New Call of Duty 3 map packs coming

360 News | One free, one not.
Activision has today announced via a press release that two "waves" of Call of Duty 3 multiplayer maps will be released after the holidays. The first pack will be free and will be named Champs. The map will take players to Port Royal de Champs in France.

The second pack is the Valour Map Pack and will be available for 800 Microsoft points. The Valour Map Pack will contain five new multiplayer maps that will take players through a maze of French locales. An exact release date for these map packs hasn't been revealed, but they should be out shortly.

Awesome! This game is outrageously fun on Live. icon_biggrin.gif

No where near as good as COD2. 800 points is a rip off..This game should have stayed with Activision and Infinity Ward.

^ Are you saying CoD2 had better multiplayer? You're mad. Better campaign, yes, but not multiplayer.

Better in both..this multiplayer is not very good at all. Guns are underpowered, maps too big and theres only 1 map that I like. CoD2 was just 10x better. Treyarch screwed this up.

Maps too big? Try playing with 24 people. Guns underpowered? Learn to shoot. If anything I'd say it's too easy to get headshots and kills with minimal hits.

Man, COD2 online everyone used the sniper rifle because you could hit someone in the toe and they'd die.
That's why I hated COD2 online so much.
COD3 is a different kettle of fish and the sniper has been way toned down with sway implemented etc.
And vehicles are the topping on the cake.
No question COD3 is the superior version for online play, oh and also supports 24 peepz instead of the abysmal 8 from the previous one.

Yeah 24 players online is awesome. I just love driving around in the bike finding big jumps icon_razz.gif However im not as keen on the class selecting - I think it makes gameplay a bit unbalanced, but I spose its the standard way to operate online FPSs..
