Sizing text to the max

360 News | Capcom learns from Dead Rising.
A short time ago, Dead Rising was released for the Xbox 360 to very positive reviews. Given that the 360 is enabled to utlise the superior picture quality of HD (High Definition) televisions, the text size in Dead Rising was programmed accordingly, for maximum style. Unfortunately, on an SD (Standard Definition) television, the text turned out far too small, and completely unreadable for many players.

Capcom have taken the feedback on board, particularly when giving their demo of upcoming title Lost Planet the recent go-around. Apparently reports also mentioned that the text was rather small, and, based on this advice, Capcom has announced that the final game will increase the text size if it detects the player is running on an SD set. Very standard of you, Capcom.

Our resident release-lister, Jeremy Jastrzab, had a chance to get online with Lost Planet recently, so expect some hands-on impressions to surface very soon.
