Dead or Alive 5 announced

360 News | Tecmo scrapper to celebrate tenth anniversary with fifth game.
Wunderbar! Cough. German site Gamefront has brought news that, aside from groping female work colleagues [*Allegedly* - PALGN legal representative], Tomonobu Itagaki of Team Ninja has also found time to announce Dead or Alive 5. The news was broken at a press meeting in Tokyo, which was also intended as a celebration of the series' tenth birthday.

According to Itagaki, he's already thought up some of the first gameplay details and concepts, and apparently Tag Team Battles - for so long a mainstay of the series - won't make the fifth game. As for which platforms the game will be appearing on, Itagaki's keenness on the Xbox 360 seems to suggest the Microsoft machine will certainly be getting a version. As for a release date, Itagaki's guess was as good as ours.

More as it arrives.

Awesome, look forward to this title, and happy he is ditching Tag. DOA4 was the bomb.

Ive had DOA4 for a while now and the only time ive ever done tag was to get the achievements. Its a excellent game, one of my most played - so naturally I cant wait for this title. Oh and wasnt there ment to be another DOA game on 360 called Cronus or something? It was ment to be a action game, I wonder if they will incorparate that concept into DOA5 just like they put konquest in the mortal kombat games?
