Gears of War most popular title on Live

360 News | Halo 2 dethroned.
Last week, Microsoft's majornelson.com blog revealed that Gears of War was the most played Xbox 360 title on Live, however, when combining the original Xbox list with the top 360 titles played on live Halo 2 remained the favourite.

Epic's masterpiece is now number one. Gears of War is now the top game on Xbox Live. It's taken years but finally Halo 2 has been dethroned; though this movement could only be temporary. If you're not sure if Gears is your cup of tea then why not read our review?

Well deserved IMO. The game is so fun online.

Only temporary? I think so. I think after a while the GoW craze will die down and Halo 2 will come back again. Even if it is a close match.

I gotta go play at friend's house, he didnt like it though was disappointed at the game.

It will be interesting to see what happens when the new Halo maps come out.
