Gears of War to be a million-seller?

360 News | That's what Microsoft reckons.
As the Microsoft hype machine builds up steam with the Holiday season approaching, the company has estimated that it will shift a million copies of Gears of War, Epic's futuristic Xbox 360-only shooter. If such a target is achieved, it would make Gears the fastest-selling original game for the system, and would help give Bill Gates a much-needed injection of cash. It would also mean that roughly one in every seven or eight Xbox 360 owners have bought the game, an impressive ratio by any title's standard.

Such an achievement wouldn't be entirely undeserved either, as you'll know if you've already read our Gears of War review.

^Definitely. This game not only has mass marketting, but the word of mouth is spreading like crazy. Everyone seems interested when someone mentions 'chainsaw' or 'curb stomp'. It's just appeal icon_razz.gif
