New Forza Motorsport 2 images slide into view

The Tokyo Game Show may have wrapped up but media from the show is still seeping through. Microsoft have sent us through the latest three images of Forza Motorsport 2, which has been delayed and is now set for release early next year.

The final game will include more than 300 vehicles on over sixty tracks, as well as comprehensive online play and a whole new damage system. It's expected Microsoft will announce more about the game at X06, possibly to counter the recent announcements that Sony has made regarding Gran Turismo HD.

If we find out anything more about the game we'll report back, either way it seems the race for first place is hotter than ever.

I was so disappointed to hear it's been delayed until Q1 2007 as it was easily my most anticipated game. At least these new images look nice (shame about the Corvettes though).

The images look awesome and 300 vehicles. Cant wait for release.

Forza's Subi looks better than GT's. But GT has amazing backgrounds. Can't wait to see more pictures from both side.

Looking very nice, IMO more attention to detail than GT.

Interesting to see how this game pans out, I too might jump on the wii60 bandwagon

Im pretty sure GT:HD has static image backgrounds. (Eg, that mountain isnt made of individual textures/polygons etc)

The Forza images look smoother and you can see more attention to detail, but the cars look plasticy. The cars in the GT shots actually look realistic.

Oh how I really hope we get a demo over the Marketplace once X06 is over...
