Second Test Drive Unlimited demo available tonight

360 News | Play online tonight.
Atari has today revealed via a press release, that the second demo for Test Drive Unlimited will be available tonight The first demo was available in May and whilst the demo was enjoyable it was clear the game wasn't quite finished.

The developer behind the game has responsed to some of the feedback provided by players and the new demo now includes an extendedlook at the game. The game allows up to one hour of play and covers 60km² of Oahu. You will also have an opportunity to discover a new house, as well as four super vehicles – the Ferrari F430, Ford Mustang GT and AC Cobra and the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R motorbike.

You can play in four offline missions or take on either of the two online challenges with up to eight players. In the free ride mode you can also instantly challenge anyone you see, which should give us all a better look at the online componant of the game. The game has also been enhanced since the E3 demo which means there is tighter control and better graphics.

The full version of Test Drive Unlimited will be available on September 28th, 2006 so look out for it then.

Might have to have another look at this game as I can't say I was verry impressed with the first demo.

Ha, you only mentioned me to rub it in some more. icon_razz.gif

But you're right, I am indeed counting down the days. Thank god I'll have my 360 soon, I'll be getting these demos as soon as possible and they in turn will help make the wait for the full game a little easier. Or so I hope anyway, chances are it will be the other way around and it will just make me want the full version even more. Crap!

Test Drive Unlimited is the only driving game I see myself getting. It's an awesome idea (with the open road design) and I love the car selection (mostly euro) as well as their respective classes (mostly super).

Can anyone else confirm the graphical anomolies in TD:U new demo?
From my play in parts like the car showroom in the reflection is a weird rainbow shimmer and when i was playing online my car's paint job went a bit corrupt for 1/2 a sec.(Black and yellow weird tearing)

I've tried multiple other games and they are fine so I'm putting it down to driver problems or a bad download.
Anyone else seen these gremlins?

^not yet as I have only played it for a few minutes but I have to say that the graphics were noticeably better than the first demo within the first few seconds of trying it. I will have a longer go tomorrow.
